Gelinas, who also is president of Trois-Riveries Ford Lincoln Mercury, and other local officials joined the drivers for the visit.
Star Mazda Drivers involved in 2009 Racing for Kids program participate in a minimum of one of five RFK sponsored hospital visits and also carry the RFK logos on their cars. Above is the car of Driver Richard Kent with the RFK logo just above the tire.
Star Mazda Racing for Kids Driver Alex Ardoin, right, started in the second position for Sunday, August 16th running of the Trois-Riveries Grand Prix and won the event and the RFK Award for the race by passing pole sitter Rusty Mitchell on the final lap of the 40 minute race. Ardoin is an active participant in the RFK Star Mazda program and won the Star Mazda RFK Series award in 2007.
