Rising Star and Racing For Kids Representative Anders Krohn Moves Up to Firestone Indy Lights Series

Anders “The Viking” Krohn who finished second and third respectively in the sixth and seventh rounds of the Star Mazda Championship last weekend will make his Firestone Indy Lights Series debut at the Watkins Glen International on July 4th

The Norwegian driver will pilot the Andersen Racing Logi Trans/Offshore Express car at the famed track.  Krohn began with Andersen Racing in F2000 and continued to the Star Mazda Championship.  With his move to Firestone Indy Lights this coming weekend, he will be the first Andersen Racing driver to compete in all three levels of competition.  His debut will also mark the highest level of competition any Norwegian has reached in open-wheel racing.

In addition to being one of the foremost up and coming open-wheel racers, Krohn has become a valued member of the Racing For Kids® Team. His interest in the charity began with this year’s Racing For Kids visit to All Children’s Hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida. As a driver representative at the visit it quickly became apparent that Krohn has the natural ability to build an easy rapport with hospital staff, patients, and the families of the patients.  This extremely successful hospital visit has motivated Racing For Kids and Krohn to team up again for more of the charity’s activities.  Since the St. Petersburg race, Krohn has carried the Racing For Kids logo on his Star Mazda Series racecar.
