Racing For Kids executive director, J. Patrick (Pat) Wright was honored recently by the Grosse Pointe Chamber of Commerce with their Pointer of Distinction Award for Community Service. The award is presented annually to a Grosse Pointe resident who has made a significant positive impact on the Grosse Pointe Community through his or her past achievements over a long period of time and who has enhanced the quality of life for the residents of Grosse Pointe.
Pat was recognized for his twenty-four year commitment to Racing For Kids – serving on a volunteer basis as its executive director since its founding in 1989. He was also honored for his other contributions to the Grosse Pointe community, including founding the Grosse Pointe Old Devils Hockey League and Charity as well as several other charitable endeavors.
